Mr. Speaker, it is important to do a consultation with the stakeholders to make the best possible decisions. We are a government that believes in evidence-based decision-making and consulting with the people who matter, rather than saying, “This is how we are going to do things and who cares what you think.” This is a very good process and I am proud of it.

Monsieur le Président, il est essentiel de consulter les intervenants afin de prendre les meilleures décisions possibles. Le gouvernement estime que les décisions doivent être fondées sur des données probantes et qu'il faut consulter les personnes concernées au lieu de dire: « Voici comment nous allons procéder, peu importe ce qu'en pensent les gens ». C'est un très bon processus et j'en suis fier.
