Mr. Speaker, I cannot address the specifics of the online participation because I was not involved with it. However, I can say that this was done in consultation with members and relevant stakeholders in response to a specific Supreme Court ruling. This is not something where we said, “Let's just do it”, but something we were required to do and did a very good job at. I am very proud of the work that was done in this bill.

Monsieur le Président, je ne peux pas donner de détails sur la consultation en ligne parce que je n'y ai pas pris part. Je peux toutefois dire que nous avons procédé, en consultation avec les membres et des intervenants pertinents, à la suite d'une décision rendue par la Cour suprême. Ce n'est pas quelque chose que nous avons simplement décidé de faire, mais bien une mesure que nous étions tenus de prendre, et nous avons très bien réussi. Je suis très fier du travail qui a été accompli au moyen de ce projet de loi.
