Mr. Speaker, one of the major problems in my colleague's riding, as in my own and in many of Canada's vast regions, is that high-speed Internet is almost non-existent.

Connectivity levels in my riding are completely unacceptable. They were unacceptable even in 2000, and now it is 2016.

I would like to hear my colleague's thoughts on the budget measure to invest $500 million in the Internet. Is she proud of that? How does she see that going forward?

Monsieur le Président, un des grands problèmes dans la circonscription de ma collègue, comme dans la mienne et dans les grandes régions du Canada, c'est qu'Internet à haute vitesse n'y existe quasiment pas.

Dans ma circonscription, le niveau de connexion est tout à fait inacceptable. C'était inacceptable même en l'an 2000, alors que nous sommes aujourd'hui en 2016.

J'aimerais que ma collègue me dise ce qu'elle pense de l'idée, dans le budget, d'investir 500 millions de dollars dans Internet? Est-elle fière de cela? Comment voit-elle la suite?
