Mr. Speaker, as I toured my rather large riding, about four times the size of P.E.I., I talked to my 43 city councils, many schools, many community organizations, and many chambers of commerce. The questions that I receive often came back to whether they can have more investment in infrastructure, in our youth, in our communities and families, in the future.

Did the member not hear from constituents in his riding that they want a that future they can look forward to?

Monsieur le Président, lorsque j'ai fait la tournée de ma circonscription, qui est assez grande — environ quatre fois la taille de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard —, j'ai parlé aux 43 conseils municipaux, à de nombreuses écoles, à de nombreux organismes communautaires et à de nombreuses chambres de commerce. On me demandait souvent si on pouvait investir davantage dans les infrastructures, dans nos jeunes, dans nos communautés et dans nos familles; dans l'avenir.

Le député n'a-t-il pas entendu les gens de sa circonscription dire qu'ils souhaitaient un avenir prometteur?
